Day 11 Knockout Round Predictions

Why do I always get the first game right but the second game wrong? At least I'm consistent at something! That pattern won’t continue, since we only have one game today. Let’s get right to it!

France vs Morocco

France survived Paraguay in the Round of 16, while Morocco dominated Canada. Safe to say these teams took very different paths to the quarterfinals.

France struggled against Paraguay, but that's what great teams do—they find ways to win even when they don't play their best. And, of course, they still have Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué among other world class stars.

Morocco, meanwhile, has gone from being a fun Cinderella story to a legitimate contender. They ended the Orange Wave, knocked out Canada, and have looked more dangerous with every match. At this point, nobody should be surprised to see them here.

As much as I want to pick Morocco, I can’t overlook the amount of talent France has and I think at the end of the day they will advance to the semifinals.
