New York Hockey is Bad!

My friends have said I need to talk about the New York hockey teams. They should be careful what they wish for.
Let's start off with the Rangers...
Before all the Rangers fans come at me because they beat the Penguins and made it farther than the Caps, I say this... you beat a team with injuries, and played Game 7 against a goalie playing in his first game since April 14. Not to mention that you nearly lost to Louis Domingue before that. Who's that, you say? Exactly! Yes, you came back from a 3-1 deficit, but you were outplayed in nearly every game. Also, the only reason you tied the seventh game was because Alexis Lafreniere removed Marcus Pettersson helmet which meant Pettersson had to go to the bench. That should've been a penalty and no goal.
Before I get too much further with the Rangers I feel like the Islanders need some love.
Islanders ... Why did you fire Barry Trotz? He turned your franchise around from a disgrace to a contender and gave the fans hope. Plus, can you blame Trotz for the amount of road games you had to start the season? Did Trotz say, "Please New York, make sure the new arena isn't ready until after the season starts?" No, he did not. Did he tell the players not to wear masks or use hand sanitizer so they'd all get COVID? I don't think he did that either, although I guess anything is possible.
The Isles fired Trotz because they wanted a different voice. Fair enough. But hiring a Trotz assistant? The players may like Lane Lambert, but if he runs the same systems as Trotz what will really change? Is he going to be willing to play more young guys, or will this again be one of the oldest and slowest teams in the league? Also it's not like he's some young guy with new ideas -- he's 57 and never been a head coach before. Good luck with that. You are doing what the Caps did, only it's worse because you don't have a Cup and have hardly any hope.
While Islander fans are probably are still laughing at John Tavares and Toronto, you shouldn't be. They have more hope than you at the moment. Also more pain, but that's the life of a Leafs fan.
Now back to the Rangers. Yes you are in Round 2, but you are horrible. The Penguins broke Igor Shesterkin. He was playing out of his mind throughout the regular season. In the first round he had a 3.66 goals against average and a .910 save percentage. Compared to his regular season numbers, those are bad. That save percentage should be lower. It is boosted because he made 79 saves in Game 1. In Game 3 he was pulled after giving up 4 goals on 15 shots. Then he was pulled in Game 4 after giving up 6 goals on 30 shots.
Rangers fans are hilarious. When Panerin jumps on Tom Wilson’s back and Wilson responds, they cry about how mean Wilson is to pick on their poor little forward who didn’t mean to start a fight, he just wanted a piggyback ride. But Trouba throws his elbow around all game and hits a superstar with a well-known concussion history in the head, and those same fans are like “that’s just a hockey play.” Lol. Whatever. Enjoy getting your butts kicked by the Canes because your goalie has lost his edge. In fact I'll double the stakes of this. If the Rangers somehow find a way to make it to the finals then I will write a blog post about how they are going to win the finals.
