Ode to the NFL Playoffs

It is now that time of season
To rhyme a lot for no reason
Broncos
This defense made this team great
Bo Nix proved he can elevate
Without the Chiefs ruling the West each year
The path looks open, the goal feels near
Patriots
Drake May Drake May Drake May Drake May
What else do you want me to say?
After years of quarterback despair
New England found Brady’s heir
Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence led them on a streak
Winning eight straight, they’re at their peak
No one thought they'd win the South
Now every hater can shut their mouth
Steelers
Everyone knows how they made it back
Defense and field goals are quite the hack
Can they pull the upset? Of course, they can
As long as DK Metcalf can stop punching fans
Texans
C.J. Stroud makes it all look calm
Every drive feels cool and strong
But playoff games test resolve
Where mistakes quickly evolve
Bills
Josh Allen lives on the edge each play
Heroics and chaos on full display
When it clicks, they look elite
When it fails, heartbreak’s complete
Chargers
Justin Herbert keeps hope alive
Despite an O-line that barely survives
Labeled the seventh seed, easy to beat
But ignore them once and face defeat
NFC
Seahawks
Sam Darnold earned them the top seed
Proving the Geno move was the right deed
But now the playoffs raise the bar
They need Darnold to prove he’s a star
Bears
Last year’s season was full of pain
Then Ben Johnson came and changed the game
But on Saturday night the team they fear
Will be looking to leave their fans in tears
Eagles
I’ve never seen champs argue non-stop
Finger-pointing after every drop
For a defending champ, vibes feel strange
It looks like they all want a change
Panthers
The Panthers earned a home playoff date
Though they should give Atlanta half of the gate
Tetairoa McMillan may win Rookie of the Year
But besides him, who else do the Rams really fear?
Rams
Counted out early, counted out late
Still finding ways to complicate
Stafford waits for moments like these
Ending seasons with veteran ease
49ers
Injuries tested them all year long
Somehow they stayed steady and strong
They’ll need Purdy playing at his best
And Christian McCaffrey can handle the rest
Packers
Injuries stacked up week by week
Jordan Love kept them from looking weak
But if Love can’t play when games are tight
This playoff run ends on that night
Now that I am down with the rhyming, here are the predictions
Rams @ Panthers
34-20
Packers @ Bears
28-27
Bills @ Jaguars
35-28
49ers @ Eagles (I WILL NEVER PICK THE EAGLES)
24-17
Chargers @ Patriots
41-35
Texans @ Steelers
17-10
