The Wizard Question

As a well known Wizards fan (you’re reading this blog aren’t you? So I must be well known), I will be going through four things I think should happen for the Wizards at the trade deadline.
Stick with Johnny Davis
Before anyone screams at their screen, let me say this. He is still only 20 years old. He has lots of time to grow and get better. That being said, it wasn't the best start for the 10th overall pick who isn't productive for the team and hasn’t been great in the G League either. What I would do is just let him get playing time once the playoffs officially are out of reach because the team isn’t going anywhere, so why not try and get him some reps? It’s not like he has much trade value right now anyway.
Trade Kuzma
The John Wall trade brought a whole lot of riches for Washington. Kyle Kuzma was the best of the players acquired and he’s doing really well in Washington. That being said, he’s a free agent next year and I don’t think he particularly wants to come back. The Wizards shouldn’t lose him for nothing. They should trade him and try and get some value for him.
Keep Porziņgis
I remember last year when the Davis Bertans and Spencer Dinwiddie for Kristaps Porziņgis trade happened. All the Knicks fans I know were laughing at me, saying that that was a horrible trade for Washington. Wrong! He is the best player on this team and also fun to watch. In all honesty, he is my favorite player on the Wizards. He has an opt-out this year, and if he does opt out he could make a lot more money. But unlike Kuzma, the Wizards shouldn’t be nervous because I think he likes it here. Washington should do everything it can to keep him.
Don’t Give Beal Away
I admit that over the summer, I was really hoping the Wizard would re-sign Beal because he wanted to stay and he was the star of the team. A lot of my friends didn’t want to, because he was asking for too much money. That situation was lose-lose because if Washington didn’t pay him the fanbase would be mad that they lost him for nothing, but now that same fanbase is arguing that he shouldn’t have been signed since he is making too much money. But he’s here, he’s still really good, and unless the Wizards get a massive package with four or more first round picks I wouldn't trade him.
